Meet Lynn

As a child, I immigrated to this country with my parents following the tumultuous era of the Cultural Revolution in China. It was during those formative years that I witnessed firsthand the limitations imposed on individual freedoms by the communist regime. As an immigrant, I quickly learned to embrace the American principles of liberty, pursuing my aspirations without fear of repression. It was during this transition that I developed a love for this country and its people. As a young adult, my journey merged with that of my husband, a Vietnamese refugee, and together we are raising our three amazing children, encouraging them to appreciate everything this country has to offer.

From the time my first child was born, I have made service in our schools and the local community a priority for both my family and me. It is with a passion for my city that I served on Redmond’s Arts and Cultural Commission. Out of a love for my heritage, I volunteered as a Chinese classical literature and culture teacher for over 12 years.  With an enthusiasm for civic engagement, I founded the Seattle Chapter for APAPA (Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs) and it is with a commitment to my children and parental rights, that I serve as a Board member of Moms for Liberty - King County Chapter.

In recent years I have become acutely aware of the impact that intrusive government policies have on our daily lives, specifically in the areas of education, the economy, and public safety. I have observed our government’s efforts to control its citizens through legislation and policies that lack transparency.

I believe citizens have a responsibility to hold government officials accountable to serve our interests and safeguard our civil liberties.  As I watch our country morph from the land I love to a reminder of the land I left, I have discovered a need to serve in an arena that I had never desired to step into – that of a political representative, first as a Precinct Committee Officer and Vice-Chair of our Legislative District, and now as a Candidate for Representative of the 48th Legislative District. My campaign is rooted in a commitment to address the many pressing issues we have found ourselves facing, and I will advocate for policies that prioritize the restoration of our liberties.  As your representative, I will bring transparency, communication, and common sense back to the role. I would be honored to represent the 48th Legislative District, and humbly ask for your vote.
