Lynn Trinh——

Lynn Trinh

(Return Civil Liberties)

Lynn Trinh

Trinh attributes her belief in freedom to her experience growing up during China’s Cultural Revolution, where she witnessed firsthand the horrors brought about by the CCP’s oppression and control of its people. "I personally experienced the danger of losing freedom, and that experience made me understand the importance of freedom."

During her recent trip to Tibet, she witnessed the restriction of basic rights of local people, a scene that deeply evoked her memory. "Americans often underestimate the fragility of our freedoms," Trinh emphasized. "I want to be a leader who defends freedom for the people." Trinh believes that Washington state is currently facing serious government overreach, resulting in the neglect of the people's needs. , which prompted her decision to run.

Lynn Trinh believes the United States and Washington state are at a critical crossroads. "Throughout the years in Washington state, we have been plagued by overregulation and failed leadership, with government control prioritizing the needs of the people. Small businesses have struggled under onerous taxes and complex regulations. Our schools have fallen behind, and parents have not only They lose their natural right to guide their children’s education, and they also lose their right to consent to long-term health decisions for their children,” she said.

Reduce taxes and regulations to help small businesses grow

Trinh is particularly concerned about Washington state government's over-regulation, which makes it difficult for small businesses and families to cope. "Did you know that Washington state is one of the states with the most regulations in the United States, with more than 190,000 regulatory restrictions?" Trinh pointed out that small businesses in Washington state need to pay taxes on gross income, and they must pay business and occupation taxes (B&O taxes) even if they lose money. ), which is particularly detrimental to new ventures.

"Small businesses are struggling under heavy tax burdens and an increasingly complex regulatory environment," Trinh said. "We need a simplified and transparent regulatory system that allows companies to focus on growth rather than fighting policy obstacles."

Trinh plans to ease the burden by reforming the B&O tax or providing small business tax exemptions, allowing entrepreneurs to focus more on growing their businesses rather than burdensome government regulations. “Reducing regulations and tax burdens will spur innovation, create jobs, and promote economic growth,” she added, believing this would have a positive impact on Washington state’s economy and local families.

Trinh has strongly criticized the government's solutions to traffic and homelessness, arguing that despite huge investments of money, the results are insignificant.

Rebuilding parents’ rights and improving education quality

In terms of education policy, Trinh proposed the policy of "restoring parents' rights." She expressed concern about the decline in education standards in Washington, especially in reading and math. As an educator with more than 13 years of teaching experience, Trinh believes that education should go back to the basics of emphasizing academics and life skills, and requires close cooperation between parents and teachers.

She pointed out: "The direction of our public school curriculum is worrying. Students' academic and critical thinking need to be strengthened, which will directly affect the future of our society."

Trinh emphasized the dual importance of academic education and life skills education, and advocated the reintroduction of courses in history, political science and classics to help students better understand the operation of society and establish independent ways of thinking. “We need to provide more school options, and vocational schools and specialized programs should be designed based on students’ interests and needs.” She believes this will provide future leaders with the tools to create a prosperous society.

Trinh strongly advocates that parents should have more control in the education system. She expressed concern about the recently passed Senate Bill 5599, which would allow minors to receive gender identity medical treatment without parental consent. "This provision could have long-term negative consequences for parents' rights and youth health," she said. She pledged to work to give parents a greater say in their children's social and medical well-being if elected.

Strengthen public safety and support local communities

Public safety is another major concern for Trinh. She noted that residents of the 48th Ward are increasingly concerned about community safety, and she plans to work closely with law enforcement to ensure they have the resources and support they need to maintain public safety. Trinh stressed the importance of reforming the criminal justice system and advocated for the reintroduction of security personnel into schools. "What we need is not just a pile of regulations, but policies that can actually solve the problem," she said.

Trinh has criticized some of the state's policies, such as the establishment of community-based drug injection sites. "These measures not only fail to effectively solve the problem of homelessness, but also increase safety risks." She promised to promote more transparent and accountable policies to ensure that the needs of the community are heard and valued by the government.

Balancing Civil Liberties and Public Safety

Trinh believes that balancing civil liberties and public safety is an issue that cannot be ignored in policy formulation. She emphasized "adherence to the Constitution" and "protection of individual rights" and believed that this is the foundation for building a safe community. "We must ensure that government actions do not infringe on individual freedoms." She advocated strengthening the resources of law enforcement agencies while also maintaining transparency to balance social security and personal freedoms.

Revitalizing civil liberties: Trinh’s five core goals

Summarizing Trinh's policy goals, she put forward the core focus of the "Five R's". The five R’s are:

1) Reclaim Parents' Rights.2) Restore Quality Education3) Strengthen Public Safety (Redeem Public Safety)4) Reduce Regulations and Taxes5) Defend citizens’ core freedoms (Return Civil Liberties)

"I believe I can bring positive change to the 48th District." Trinh said she is ready to return policy focus to the needs of the people and promote a more transparent and accountable government.

Lynn Trinh views voters as her allies and sees this election as a critical moment for Washington voters to choose new leadership. She hopes voters will support her on November 5 and bring a future to the 48th District that is "focused on the needs of the people."
